Paramus family law firm announces new partner

Paramus-based law firm of Bozanian McGregor LLC is said in a Thursday announcement that Stephanie O’Neill has been named its newest partner.

O’Neill graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2014 and has been practicing law for over six years.

O’Neill has been an associate with Bozanian McGregor LLC for the past year, however she met the other two partners of the firm, Elton Bozanian and Matt McGregor, a year and a half prior to joining the firm at a New Jersey Bar Association conference in Atlantic City. “From the moment we met, the three of us clicked and they wanted me to be a part of their firm,” O’Neill shares.

For the last four years she has been a part of Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who attain a high level of peer recognition and professional achievement. Initially, O’Neill was interested in focusing her efforts on international law and human trafficking, but soon realized her true calling was in family law.

“I’m young and it’s exciting to be in this position at this time in my life. A lot of lawyers don’t become partners until later in their careers.” says O’Neill. “Being young and a woman, a lot of times you get looked down on, especially in this profession,” but O’Neill’s age is a strength not a weakness.

Being from a younger generation, O’Neill brings a lot to the table as she can help the firm adapt to changing technologies, especially in the time of COVID-19. Also coming from a diverse background, she understands a lot of client’s perspectives and really strives to relate to them on a personal level.

Bozanian and McGregor knew that “promoting Stephanie to partner was an easy decision for us, from the beginning the value and benefit she could bring to the firm was clear and we can’t wait to see more of the amazing things she can do from here.”
