Craig Alexander has been named co-chair of Mandelbaum Barrett P.C.‘s Real Estate practice group. Alexander will work closely with Barry Mandelbaum, who is also chairman of the full-service law firm.
Alexander joined the firm in 1995 and has since concentrated his practice in real estate and commercial lending. He represents developers, builders, investors, commercial property owners, contractors and lenders in all phases affecting real estate deals. He also appears before planning and zoning boards in connection with land development and property improvements.
“This appointment recognizes Alexander’s work ethic, commitment to the firm and years of service to his clients. He possesses the leadership and legal talent to ensure continued growth in our department and our firm. I’m looking forward to working with him to continue to expand the practice,” Mandelbaum said.
As Barry Mandelbaum’s stepson, Alexander represents the third generation at the firm, mirroring many of the multigenerational, longstanding client relationships at Mandelbaum Barrett since its founding over 90 years ago by Irving Mandelbaum, Barry Mandelbaum’s father.
“We are seeing the next generation of clients coming through our doors, and it’s really wonderful to now work with the grandchildren of some of my grandfather’s original clients,” Alexander said. “These long-term relationships with clients and their families are the cornerstone of the firm’s success.”
In January the Roseland-based firm underwent a rebrand — the first time in 42 years that a name has been added, and the sixth time in its 92-year history the firm has changed its name, only to reflect a generational or leadership change.
