Jeff Works, coworking space aimed at WFH employees, opens in South Plainfield (SLIDESHOW)

Jeff Works, a new coworking space in South Plainfield, is built on a simple premise: It’s for people who want to get the benefits of working close to home — but not the distractions that can come while working in your home.

Company officials said the space, located in the Hadley Center on Stelton Road, is designed to counter the specific challenges faced by the modern-day remote worker, providing a distraction-free environment with optional private rooms for rent.

More so, officials said the space provides the social interactions many workers now say they miss.

This month, Jeff Works is launching a Dedicated Desk plan. With plans starting as low as $99 a month, members get:

  • An exclusive, private desk with ergonomic seating, dual monitors, a mouse and keyboard;
  • High-speed internet;
  • Private phone rooms;
  • Free printing (up to 120 pages a month);
  • A virtual office to be used as a business address;
  • Free coffee;
  • Discounted pricing on private meeting rooms.

Co-founder Justin Oshins said the space is meant to supplement the primary workspaces of at-home workers, allowing them to stay in the neighborhood while escaping the distractions found at home.

Oshins said Jeff Works aims to meet the needs of freelancers, small business operators, students and anyone needing an out-of-home professional and quiet space.

More so, Oshins said, Jeff Works aims to change the coworking space game.

“We don’t just want to enter the world of coworking spaces; we want to disrupt it,” he said. “We are doing that by listening to the public’s feedback, praises and concerns, building on those and offering the best work environment possible at an unbeatable price.”
