The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Ocean Resort Casino both opened on the same day.
Just a day early.
The casinos, which were scheduled to have grand openings on Thursday, both opened their doors Wednesday afternoon, right after receiving permission from the state Division of Gaming Enforcement to begin operations.
Both casinos said they will have their scheduled opening events as planned.
Gov. Phil Murphy will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Ocean Resort Casino, the former Revel.
Hard Rock is planning a morning news conference followed by a guitar smash.
