Impact100 South Jersey, a collective women’s giving initiative, announced it has awarded its first grant to a nonprofit in Camden.
Hopeworks ‘N Camden will receive $74,000 to further its mission of partnering with young people as they help create a sustainable future for their communities.
The grant was announced at Impact100’s annual meeting, where members heard from 23 organizations that began the grant review process in January.
“This has been an incredibly exciting thing to watch. South Jersey women eagerly came together to support the needs of people in our community,” said Nancy Weber, leadership council co-president. “When we heard about the Impact100 model, we were certain the time was right for South Jersey. Our goal is to double our membership during our fall 2018 drive so we can award at least $150,000 to organizations dedicated to serving our region.”
