SOS Security, a national security personnel provider based in Parsippany, has acquired a California firm to build on its presence on the West Coast.
The company said in a news release that it has purchased First Security Services, based in San Jose and serving Silicon Valley, which will operate as a subsidiary in the West Coast Region.
First Security provides security solutions for industrial and commercial facilities, as well as school districts, governments and health care facilities. It has seven offices and 1,900 employees.
“Having First Security become a part of SOS Security solidifies our position in Northern California,” SOS Chairman and CEO Edward B. Silverman said in a prepared statement. “The company, led by President Cal Horton, helps us to fulfill our strategic vision to acquire the best, like-minded companies to expand our resources in critical markets and strengthen our ability to service our clients.”
Horton and his team will continue to lead the company.
“We are very pleased to join with SOS Security while continuing to provide for our client needs as we always have,” he said in a statement.
