Hoboken-based Newell Brands announced Tuesday it has agreed to sell The United States Playing Card Co. to Cartamundi Group, a manufacturer and distributor of playing cards and board games.
USPC, based in Erlanger, Kentucky, is a producer and distributor of premium brand playing cards, including Bicycle, Bee, Aviator, Hoyle and Fournier.
Citi acted as the financial advisor to Newell.
The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2019. Financial terms were not disclosed.
