Hoboken developer announces series of leases, renewals

A Hoboken-based real estate developer has signed 16 commercial leases in the past seven months, it said this week.

Maridian Properties, which worked with the city to identify and recruit businesses to help revitalize key commercial areas, also re-signed 10 existing tenants to lease renewals since August.

“These lease signings demonstrate that, although the coronavirus pandemic has affected the local economy, Hoboken remains an attractive place to invest and do business,” founder and Managing Director Mario Fini said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to welcoming these new businesses to Hoboken and providing them with a safe, convenient working environment that will allow them to flourish while serving the local community. And we will continue to do everything within our power to support continued business growth in Hoboken.”

The 16 new leases at Maridian-owned properties include:

  • Anchor Therapy counseling center, 80 River St.;
  • Downtown Pain Management medical office, 80 River St.;
  • Empyrean Indian Kitchen restaurant, 20 Hudson Place;
  • Essence USA, an Internet of Things developer, 70 Hudson St.;
  • Foot & Ankle Premier Specialists physicians group, 70 Hudson St.;
  • Hudson Smokes tobacco shop, 22 Hudson Place;
  • Lantern Publishing book publisher, 34 Newark St.;
  • Neymarc Visuals video production studio, 12-14 Hudson Place;
  • Regenerate SoftWave Therapy wellness center, 70 Hudson St.;
  • Rockabill Consulting, a development and financial consulting firm, 80 River St.;
  • Sixth Borough Salon hair boutique, 133 Madison St.;
  • SouzaFit restaurant, 517 Washington St.;
  • SR Prime Management property manager, 80 River St.;
  • Sweat + Glo infrared sauna studio, 80 River St.;
  • Taco Bell restaurant, 38 Hudson Place;
  • Tipico sportsbook, 80 River St.

The 10 lease renewals include:

  • Elevate Movement & Wellness, a Pilates and yoga studio, 159 4th;
  • Glam Seamless beauty salon, 80 River St.;
  • Hit + Run Creative production company, 80 River St.;
  • iPulse computer repair service, 80 River St.;
  • Lukin Center for Psychotherapy behavioral specialists, 80 River St.;
  • Mathnasium tutoring center, 706 Washington St.;
  • Passport Health travel services company, 70 Hudson St.;
  • The Pig & Parrot restaurant, 77 Hudson St.;
  • The Roost Outpost coffee and espresso bar, 55 1st;
  • Salon Caru beauty salon, 104 Hudson St.;
