Cooper University Health Care and University Radiology partner to expand radiology services in Cherry Hill

Cooper University Health Care and University Radiology, a leader in subspecialty medical imaging services in New Jersey, have joined in partnership to expand radiology services with a new imaging center in Cherry Hill.

The partnership with Cooper to open this new facility will be University Radiology’s first location in southern New Jersey.

The new University Radiology at Cooper facility is a state-of-the-art imaging center and is located on the ground floor of Cooper’s Cherry Hill campus on Route 70.

University Radiology is the largest provider of subspecialty imaging services in New Jersey, with more than 20 locations in the northern and central parts of the state and comprised of board-certified radiologists with advanced training and subspecialty expertise in all modalities. “This new partnership is another part of Cooper’s continued commitment to providing the highest level of service in accessible and convenient locations for everyone who lives and works in our community,” said George Norcross III, chairman of the board of Trustees of the Cooper Health System, Cooper University Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.The University Radiology at Cooper center offers magnetic resonance imaging, CT scanning services, DEXA scanning, X-ray services, ultrasound and a suite of women’s imaging services, including 3D mammography, breast MRI, and ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsy services.“University Radiology Group is proud to partner with Cooper University Health Care in offering top tier ambulatory radiology services in this new, state of the art imaging center,” said Dr. Robert Epstein, chairman of University Radiology’s Board of Directors.“The collaboration between Cooper University Health Care and University Radiology provides a seamless experience for patients and referring physicians and facilitate timely access to diagnostic studies,” said Dr. Sandip Basak, president of University Radiology.“This partnership between two leading health care organizations enhances the current outstanding diagnostic imaging services offered by Cooper to better meet the growing needs of the community,” said Kevin O’Dowd, co-CEO of Cooper.

Mazzarelli, co-CEO of Cooper.Cooper’s Cherry Hill campus is located at 2339 W. Route 70 adjacent to the Cherry Hill Hotel (formerly the Crowne Plaza) and currently offers a wide range of services, including cardiology, endocrinology, laboratory services, oncology services, nephrology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pain management, physical therapy, physical medicine and rehab, podiatry, primary care, and pulmonology.

The new University Radiology at Cooper imaging center offers express check-in and a welcome concierge. Cooper’s Cherry Hill campus also has ample parking, a café, and is located on a convenient NJ Transit bus line.
