Hoboken’s Mission 50 to host open house and free day of coworking away from home offices Wednesday

Free daylong access to shared workspaces, plenty of in-house amenities, snacks and even a networking happy hour — it will hardly seem like work.

Mission 50 in Hoboken is inviting business professionals to come experience a complimentary day at the boutique office building during its Community Open House. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 50 Harrison St.

In addition to enjoying full access to shared workspace and amenities areas, guests can take tours of the recently renovated space with the Mission 50 team and Amanda Morrison — founder of Don’t Sit Home, social media influencer @dontsithome, and longtime Mission 50 member — from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will start with bites provided by O’Bagel throughout the day, in Suite 206, and all attendees will enjoy Mission 50 member perks, including free Afficionado Coffee, tea, cold brew coffee and beer on tap. A highlight of the day will be a complimentary networking happy hour hosted by Don’t Sit Home from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Saloon at Mission 50. It will feature food from Northern Soul, cocktails and local beers from Mission 50 member Hoboken Brewing Co.

“Many people need a change of pace, and for folks who have been working remotely and missing the office atmosphere, our open house will be a breath of fresh air,” said Gregory Dell’Aquila, CEO of JDA Group LLC, which owns and manages the property. “Come and enjoy an opportunity to interact with other professionals, get away from the same routine at home and experience Mission 50’s eclectic and entrepreneurial environment.”

Visitors are welcome to come all day and use the coworking space, stop in for just a tour between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to look around, or visit for the Don’t Sit Home Happy Hour. All that’s required is checking in at Suite 206 on the second floor to receive a free day pass, request a tour, or pick up information about the shared work and amenity areas.

Need a professional headshot? Jenny Flora Photography will be on site taking them for a fee in Conference Room 213.

Event updates will be added to @Mission50 and @dontsithome on social media, and Mission 50 can be contacted at 201-706-7210 and hello@mission50.com.

Dell’Aquila launched Mission 50 as one of the first premium coworking sites in the New York/New Jersey region in 2011. Responding to evolving workplace needs, he spearheaded a yearlong renovation and expansion project at the 80,000-square-foot boutique office building. Completed in 2021, the renovations created a reimagined coworking community designed to foster collaboration, creativity and productivity.

Multiple workspace environments include shared coworking spaces, privacy pods, private office suites and fully customizable office concepts. Upscale amenities, state-of-the-art technology and a menu of membership options cater to professionals of all stripes, ranging from solo workers and growing startups to seasoned businesses and traditional enterprises.

“Everything we have created at Mission 50 is designed to inspire and connect people, and we know this one-day experience will get them excited about going to the office again,” Dell’Aquila said.
