Jidan acquires Pieco: South Jersey cleaning companies merge into one-stop shop

Company will offer full-service interior and exterior commercial cleaning and maintenance services

Jidan Cleaning announced Thursday that it has acquired Pieco Services Property Maintenance — a merger of two South Jersey companies that they feel will create a one-stop, full-service interior and exterior cleaning/maintenance business for commercial customers.

Jidan Cleaning, based in Medford and founded in 2005 by CEO Patricia Claybrook, is a leading commercial cleaning business servicing customers — including Fortune 100 companies — throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Core services include office cleaning, post-construction cleaning, carpet and window cleaning and stripping and waxing.

Pieco Services, based in Wlliamstown and founded by Bobby Scannapieco over 20 years ago, has earned a reputation of providing quality work for commercial building owners, retail centers, industrial complexes, corporate facilities, multiunit housing developments and residential estates. The business provides exterior commercial services, including landscaping, facility maintenance, parking lot maintenance and snow removal.

“Acquiring Pieco is a natural next step in taking our business to the next level and providing customers with a convenient, one-stop solution to keeping their properties clean — inside and out,” Claybrook said.

“Over the years, my customers have expressed a continued need for landscaping and property management services. Rather than referring this work out, we can now provide customers with all of these services with a brand name they know and trust.”

Claybrook said she made an extensive search to find a business that reflected her company’s core values.

“When I met Bobby and learned more about his business, I knew instantly that it was the perfect match. We’re like-minded businesses — in terms of being family-owned, strong brand recognition and providing quality service,” she said.

Scannapieco will remain on staff to ensure a smooth transition for Pieco customers and employees, working closely with Maurice Claybrook, chief operating officer of Jidan, who will assume operational day-to-day management of Pieco.

“After over two decades of building my business and providing exceptional work to my customers, it’s time to hand over the reins,” Scannapieco said. “I’m excited for this opportunity and feel comfortable knowing that Pieco will continue to deliver the same quality of product and service under Jidan’s management.”
