Larken Associates begins construction on newest multifamily community in Pohatcong

Construction is underway at Monte View at Pohatcong, a 120-unit multifamily community located on 1001 Monte View Drive in Pohatcong. Developer Larken Associates on Tuesday said the community is targeted to welcome its first residents beginning in Fall 2024.

The start of construction at Monte View at Pohatcong highlights the continued growth of the company’s Larken Living portfolio currently made up of 19 unique communities totaling approximately 2,500 owned and managed residential units across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Earlier in 2023, the firm celebrated the completion of The Reserve at Crosswicks, a 272-unit community located in Bordentown and The Ridge at Readington, a 254-unit community located in Whitehouse Station. The two projects capped off nearly four years of robust development that created 1,022 residences across several communities.

In addition to Monte View at Pohatcong, the company is currently in early planning for the construction of several additional new communities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that will further enhance its Larken Living portfolio.

“Our Larken Living portfolio is built upon a simple idea – deliver residents the living spaces they need with the amenities they want in locations they seek,” David Gardner, president and CEO of Larken Associates said. “Every space delivered by us over the last several years has been meticulously designed with that idea in mind. We are excited to get started on Monte View at Pohatcong and welcome our future residents to experience what makes Larken Living so special.”

Located less than a mile from the New Jersey and Pennsylvania border just off Interstate 78 in western Warren County, Monte View at Pohatcong will include three multi-story garden-style buildings and one four-story elevatored building with a ground-level clubhouse. The nine-acre site will also feature a resort-style amenity package with a pool, a dog run and a fitness center.
