NJM relocates Parsippany location to Onyx Equities’ newly renovated Arbors

NJM Insurance Group on Wednesday announced it is relocating to a new 53,000-square-foot space at the Arbors @ Parsippany. This move comes after the completion of a $15 million renovation by Onyx Equities, the owner of the highly amenitized five-building, 60-acre office campus.

Situated adjacent to its current location, NJM’s repositioning from 1 Sylvan Way signifies its commitment to creating an energizing atmosphere for its employees. The Arbors offers a community that fosters interaction between companies and promotes a sense of camaraderie.

Employees will benefit from an array of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center spanning 5,200 square feet, three cafés, conference facilities, outdoor dining areas and recreational spaces for relaxation and sports activities. Additionally, the campus provides 1.5 miles of scenic paths for walking, biking and hiking, encouraging a healthy work-life balance.

“Some of the largest, most successful brands in the world have chosen to locate in Parsippany, like NJM, and we are proud to be their home,” Parsippany Mayor James Barberio said. “We are actively working to attract those who are building the future, and appreciate Onyx Equities’ forward-looking strategy because these businesses are the backbone of our economy and the cornerstone of our community.”

Onyx Equities co-founder and Managing Principal Jonathan Schultz explained, “Our strategy to transform well-located office buildings into technologically advanced and aesthetically pleasing spaces is yielding positive results, even in a challenging market.”

Schultz emphasized the advantages of the Arbors, stating, “Moving here provides companies with a remarkable office environment, which is a significant advantage in attracting and retaining top talent in today’s competitive job market.”

“After a careful and thoughtful analysis, NJM decided that the Arbors met all our requirements,” said Christopher Malone, senior vice president and chief financial officer of the NJM Insurance Group. “It provides our employees with an upgraded and modern environment and enables NJM to remain in Parsippany, which has been our North Jersey home for over 25 years. We look forward to occupying our new space and believe it will provide an enhanced workspace for our employees as they serve the needs of our policyholders.”

The extensive building upgrades at the Arbors @ Parsippany include new roofs, rooftop HVAC systems, brand-new amenity spaces and redesigned entryways that feature open, multistory granite and glass atriums. These transformative renovations have reinvigorated the community, fostering an atmosphere of connectivity and engagement through a dynamic lineup of community events and services.

Conveniently located at the crossroads of major roadways, including Interstates 80, 280 and 287, Routes 46 and 202, and Routes 10 and 53, the Arbors @ Parsippany offers unparalleled accessibility. The campus is just a five-minute drive from the Morris Plains New Jersey Transit Station, with a convenient shuttle service available Monday through Friday. Furthermore, world-class dining, shopping, and hotels are just minutes away.
