Rubel named senior PR adviser at Tara Dowdell Group

Carly Rubel has been named a senior public relations adviser at the Tara Dowdell Group, the Jersey City-based firm announced.

Rubel comes to TDG from MSNBC, where she worked on a number of shows, including “The Mehdi Hasan Show,” “AM Joy,” “The Ed Show with Ed Schultz” and “Meet the Press Daily” with Chuck Todd.

In this new position, Rubel will be responsible for assisting in the development of data-informed publicity strategies and reaching new angles for TDG’s clients. Rubel also will be responsible for day-to-day management of the agency’s public relations team and is expected to report to TDG Communications Vice President Zy Richardson.

TDG President Tara Dowdell applauded the announcement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carly, an exceptionally gifted and incisive leader in national media, to TDG,” Dowdell said. “I started TDG with a vision to build a full-service PR and marketing agency that maintains the highest level of excellence and integrity while supporting organizations engaged in social good.”

“Carly’s immense talent and extensive experience in researching, pitching and booking globally recognized leaders and experts will amplify our public relations, storytelling and media portfolio. Carly’s dedication to journalistic excellence reflects our core values at TDG, and we look forward to the innovative contributions she will bring to our team.”

Rubel is eager to get started.

“I am excited to be joining this stellar team of PR and marketing professionals,” Rubel said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tara and the TDG team many times in my previous role as a booking producer, and have long admired their passion and dedication to clients engaged in social good.

“Elevating the voices of those who have historically been marginalized has been a driving force in my career. I am grateful for the opportunity to assist TDG’s clients aligned in this mission in uplifting their impactful work.”
