MAD Global Strategy names D’Alberto partner

MAD Global Strategy, a leading bipartisan public affairs firm, announced that Emily D’Alberto has been promoted to partner.

“Emily D’Alberto is as tough, loyal, smart and effective as any public relations professional I’ve ever worked with,” said Mike DuHaime, founder and CEO, MAD Global. “Emily and I have worked together for nearly 18 years, and there is no one better in the PR business. Emily has a great family and is a wonderful role model for young women moving up in our industry.”

D’Alberto joined MAD Global Strategy in 2022, and her promotion is not only a result of her impressive accomplishments but the firm’s dedication to recognizing leadership from within the organization.

“It has been a true pleasure to work with Emily and witness her incredible public relations savvy,” said Laura Matos, partner, MAD Global. “Our clients have been incredibly fortunate to benefit from her vast career experience and expertise, as well as her adept leadership of our fully female PR team at MAD Global. I am thrilled to welcome her to the partnership table.”

D’Alberto has 25 years of experience in media, politics and public relations. As managing director at MAD Global, D’Alberto has been pivotal in growing the firm, cultivating a strong culture and building relationships with clients. She leads the firm’s public relations practice, where she advises a diverse portfolio of clients on media relations, crisis communications and thought leadership. She is deeply experienced at navigating complex, high-stakes situations focusing on reputational challenges and crafting compelling narratives that resonate with key stakeholders.

“I am honored to become a partner at MAD Global,” said D’Alberto. “Over the last three years, it has been so exciting to be part of this growing organization and be part of such a collaborative and innovative team. I am grateful to Mike DuHaime for his support and mentorship over the past nearly 20 years. His trust and leadership have not only shaped my path but fostered a positive culture that makes our organization second to none.”

Prior to MAD Global, D’Alberto worked at international bipartisan strategy firm Mercury for 11 years. Before stepping into the world of public relations, D’Alberto spent more than a decade as a producer and booker in television news covering some of the most pivotal stories of our time. She spent most of her journalism career with CNN. She was a producer for CNN’s flagship morning program in Washington, D.C., and New York where she booked and produced high-profile interviews with newsmakers, political leaders and breaking news guests.

She was part of the CNN teams that received a George Foster Peabody award for their coverage of the BP oil spill and Hurricane Katrina. She was a guest producer for the political debate program Crossfire in Washington, D.C. D’Alberto began her career in television news at MSNBC, where she worked as a booker in the Washington bureau coordinating guest interviews in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks and the War on Terror.
