The New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce will host its annual business summit at Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College on September 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The summit will feature:
- a business expo featuring both private and public sector businesses looking to work with veteran-owned and disabled-veteran-owned businesses.
- Representatives from the NJ Department of the Treasury on hand to certify and classify veteran-owned businesses and help businesses register for the state’s procurement portal.
- The two major party gubernatorial candidates discussing their plans to support veterans and improve the business climate in New Jersey.
- a healthcare clinic which will offer free screenings and health checks for veterans.
- a chance for eligible veterans to enroll in a clinical study through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute to have blood screenings for more than 20 different cancers.
The New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce was created to enhance the economic vitality of veterans and military spouses and support programs that create meaningful employment opportunities for veterans and military spouses.
