Sills Cummis & Gross names attorney promotions

Sills Cummis & Gross announced that Michael P. Crowley and Joshua J. Koodray were promoted to members of the firm, and Robert B. Spawn was promoted to Of counsel, effective Oct. 1.

Michael P. Crowley: Member of the firm, Litigation

Crowley focuses his practice on commercial and real estate litigation, including title disputes and coverage investigations, mortgage fraud and forgery actions, as well as other general commercial matters. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York.

He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. He is based in the firm’s Newark office.

Joshua J. Koodray: Member of the firm, Real Estate

Koodray is an experienced land use and zoning attorney who represents property owners, developers and institutional investors in all aspects of real estate acquisition and development. He focuses his practice on land use, redevelopment, affordable housing and related litigation. Koodray regularly appears before planning and zoning boards and courts throughout New Jersey. He has successfully handled a wide range of complex entitlement matters involving multifamily, transit-oriented development, adaptive reuse, warehouse and industrial projects. Koodray is adept at navigating New Jersey’s regulatory landscape.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey. He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University. He is based in the firm’s Newark office.

Robert B. Spawn: Of counsel, Litigation

Spawn concentrates his practice on commercial and business litigation matters, including corporate, partnership and LLC disputes, fraud claims, complex contract disputes, real estate litigation and professional liability claims. He has experience handling these matters at all stages of litigation, from pleading through trial and appeal in both state and federal courts. Spawn is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and he is a trustee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Essex County Bar Association.

He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Colgate University. He is based in the Firm’s Newark office.
