The Arc of Cape May County said on Oct. 16 that Melanie Collette has joined its leadership team as chief marketing and development officer. Collette will oversee fundraising and development, communications, public relations and more.
“We’re excited to welcome Melanie as our new chief marketing and development officer,” said Majken Mechling, chief executive officer of The Arc of Cape May County. “As The Arc continues to grow and evolve, her leadership will be key in advancing our mission and broadening our reach both locally and beyond.”
The Arc of Cape May County promotes and protects the human rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and supports their full inclusion and participation in the community.
Collette serves as a Cape May County commissioner. She joins The Arc of Cape May County with more than a decade of experience in public outreach, stakeholder engagement and non-profit advocacy.
She is also a sought-after media commentator and policy analyst, frequently appearing on national television, radio and other media platforms to share insights on public policy.
“The Arc’s mission supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is deeply important, and I’m proud to join a team that’s dedicated to improving their lives and expanding opportunities in our community,” said Collette.
