East Coast Warehouse & Distribution, a temperature-controlled logistics provider to the food and beverage industry, said Oct. 27 that it named Michael Chase as director of business development for its Charleston, S.C., market location.
In this role, Chase will be responsible for growing and developing East Coast Warehouse’s presence in Charleston, where the company will leverage its port-based expertise to offer temperature-controlled warehousing, container drayage, local and regional trucking and national logistics services.
Chase has experience in global supply chain management across all major commodity segments and industries and brings more than 20 years of sales and business development experience to East Coast Warehouse.
“Michael has a strong track record of leadership and team building, which will be key as we work to build up our Charleston operation,” said Kevin Daly, East Coast Warehouse’s chief commercial officer. “We are confident he will not only help us to develop a strong internal team in Charleston, but he will also help to cultivate our customer base in the market.”
Chase joins East Coast Warehouse from CMA CGM Group, where he served as senior key account manager. He was responsible for strategic business expansion with top tier importers, exporters and 3PL providers. He managed critical aspects of client supply chain platforms from origin sourcing to final delivery across all transportation modes. In addition to his role at CMA CGM, Michael has extensive experience within domestic and international 3PL segments.
For more than 70 years, East Coast Warehouse & Distribution has served as a third-party logistics provider, offering integrated temperature-controlled logistics services to food and beverage importers. Its facilities, totaling 72 million cubic feet, are located on the Ports of New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Savannah, Ga.
