Utility Job Fair to be hosted by DeAngelo and NJUA

Assemblyman Wayne P. DeAngelo, chairman of the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee, and the New Jersey Utilities Association (NJUA) will co-host a Utility Job Fair on Nov. 10 to connect job seekers with leading employers across the state’s utility sector.

It will take place at Mercer County Community College, 1200 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor Township, at the Conference Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“As someone who came up through the trades, I know firsthand the value of a hard day’s work and the pride that comes with building a career that keeps our communities running,” said Assemblyman DeAngelo (D-Mercer, Middlesex). “The upcoming Utility Job Fair is about more than filling positions — it’s about creating solid opportunities for New Jersey workers and their families. I’m proud to stand alongside our partners in labor to help connect skilled men and women with the jobs that power our state.”

The Utility Job Fair will provide residents with direct access to employers in the electric, gas, water and telecommunications industries. Attendees will be able to speak one-on-one with recruiters, learn about available openings and explore pathways to careers that support New Jersey’s critical infrastructure. Employers expected to attend include PSE&G, Jersey Central Power & Light, SJI, New Jersey American Water and more.

Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to RSVP at this link.

“The utility sector has long been a backbone of New Jersey’s workforce, and we’re proud to help connect people with good, stable and meaningful jobs that power our state each and every day,” said Richard Henning, NJUA president and chief executive officer. “NJUA and its member companies are committed to working with Assemblyman DeAngelo to build pathways into the utility industry and ensure that New Jersey’s workforce has access to the skills and opportunities needed for long-term careers.”
