Boys & Girls Club board names Michael-Ziereis as chair, adds five community members

The Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City said on March 23 that it has named Donna Michael-Ziereis as its new board chair and said its board added five new community leaders.

Michael-Ziereis, formerly board secretary and governance chair, is executive vice president of administration and chief legal officer for AtlantiCare Health System. In that capacity, she leads teams across multiple disciplines, encompassing legal operations, compliance, supply chain, IT and emergency medical services. Boys & Girls Club said she brings a strong commitment to community service, particularly in support of health care and education initiatives.

Joining the board are Dr. Blair Bergen, Wendy Bartlett, Matthew Capone, Debbie Martone and Michele Myers Reid.

Bergen is a physician with AtlantiCare Physician Group, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. He also serves as chair of the Public Education and Awareness Subcommittee of the New Jersey Advisory Council on Black Infant Mortality, reflecting his commitment to improving maternal and infant health outcomes.

Bartlett is senior vice president at Fulton Bank, where she brings decades of experience in commercial banking and credit management. Since joining the bank in 2008 as a commercial relationship manager, she has advanced through leadership roles including team leader and middle market senior relationship manager. Bartlett is active in numerous civic and educational organizations.

Capone is senior manager of construction and maintenance for Atlantic City Electric, where he oversees electric distribution, infrastructure upgrades, and outage response across the company’s western districts. He has been active in community service efforts including volunteering with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Martone is executive director of human resources at Resorts Casino Hotel. She brings over two decades of experience across the hospitality and private equity sectors, including leadership roles with Trump Entertainment Resorts and Atlantic City Linen Supply/Purestar LLC.

Myers Reid is regional manager of talent development and philanthropy for Caesars Entertainment in Atlantic City. In this role, she partners with leadership to design training and development programs that strengthen service, finance, leadership, and team performance while also overseeing regional community relations and philanthropic giving.
