TD Bank names new commercial market president for South/Coastal N.J.

TD Bank last week announced it appointed Gregory Carlisle as its commercial market president for South Jersey/Coastal New Jersey. Carlisle succeeds Robert Curley III, following his move to regional president of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Metro.

In this role, Carlisle will lead the local Commercial and Small Business banking teams and customer portfolios throughout Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, Cape May, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Camden and Burlington counties while partnering with TD’s specialty business lending and consumer teams to expand client relationships in the market. Carlisle will also direct local TD sponsorship and community giving.

Carlisle is a 22-year veteran of the local New Jersey and Pennsylvania banking community. He joined TD Bank in 2014 as regional vice president of Gloucester/Cumberland/Salem counties, where he led his team to increase market shares in each county.

“Greg is a trusted adviser to a large and diverse portfolio of local clients, and his extensive expertise and experience in commercial and small business banking will greatly enable TD’s continued growth in this key market,” Curley stated. “His balance between empathy and business acumen will position him well to lead one of TD’s largest markets, including our bank’s headquarters area.”

Carlisle serves the community by volunteering on various nonprofit boards. Most recently, he held the position of chief volunteer officer for the Gloucester County YMCA, and he sits on the board of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and serves on its Finance Committee.

Prior to joining TD, Carlisle built and managed commercial teams at financial institutions in the mid-Atlantic including HSBC Bank, Washington Mutual/JPMorgan Chase and Wachovia Bank (Wells Fargo). His commercial banking experience includes roles in small business, commercial mortgage, commercial & industrial lending and global trade finance.
