New Summit Health and CityMD office and urgent care opens in Short Hills

Aiming to provide primary, specialty and urgent care to more patients, Summit Health and CityMD, which have worked together as one care team since 2019, recently announced the opening of the latest co-located Summit Health multispecialty office and CityMD urgent care at 800 Morris Turnpike in Short Hills.

The new location will deliver exceptional patient-centered care when patients need it. In addition to all the walk-in services that come with CityMD urgent care, the new Summit Health offices will host practices for 11 providers specializing in dermatology, physical therapy and primary care.

“We are proud to further expand Summit Health’s connected care model with our new multispecialty office designed to serve residents of Short Hills, Millburn and neighboring communities,” Dr. Jack Cappitelli, chief medical officer, New Jersey region, at Summit Health, said. “We believe health care remains a deeply local practice and remain committed to delivering quality care locally in neighborhoods across the region.”

Summit Health’s Short Hills location features over 13,000 square feet of office space, consisting of 10 dermatology and eight primary care patient rooms, as well as three phlebotomy stations and a physical therapy training area.

A co-located CityMD provides all the standard urgent care services patients in the New York metropolitan area are familiar with, such as treatment for injuries and illnesses, vaccinations, testing, X-rays, pediatric care and more.

Like all CityMD urgent care centers, the Short Hills location will operate as a walk-in urgent care, 365 days a year with convenient weekend and weekday hours. Summit Health offices will see patients by appointment.
