Middlesex County awards over $2.4M in arts and history grants

Middlesex County announced the 2025 Arts and History Grant Awards in the amount of $2,455,007 to 105 municipal agencies and local nonprofit arts and history organizations. The Arts Institute of Middlesex County and the Board of County Commissioners offer these grants to municipal and not-for-profit organizations based in Middlesex County.

Funding support includes General Operating Support, Program Support, Historic Preservation and Capital grants. The grant cycle opens each summer with the announcement of the grant guidelines and a series of grant-writing workshops, which were held virtually last year.

The Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners makes funding for these grants possible through the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund. Middlesex County’s funding partners include the New Jersey Historical Commission and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

The following is a list of total grant funding amounts by discipline:

  • Theatre: $955,457
