Murphy to speak at Walk to Washington dinner

Gov. Phil Murphy has been confirmed as a speaker at the 81st annual Congressional Dinner hosted by the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce in March.

The dinner concludes the first day of a two-day event, the Walk to Washington, which allows business leaders and political leaders to network.

U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker (both D-N.J.), as well as U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-4th Dist.) will also attend and speak at the event, the chamber said in a release Monday.

“We are honored to have Gov. Murphy join us. We are equally honored that Sen. Menendez, Sen. Booker and Congressman Smith also will participate at our dinner,” said Tom Bracken, CEO and president of the chamber. “Their attendance lends the kind of prestige that has made the Walk to Washington such an important and well-attended event. The walk features the kind of super-networking that helps businesses grow. That is why we have been doing it for 81 years. It is New Jersey’s biggest business event of the year.”
