Ledgewood land sold; zip line park planned

Two parcels of land in Ledgewood totaling 48 acres have been sold, paving the way for a zip line adventure park, according to real estate firm NAI James E. Hanson.

The property at Mount Arlington Road and 1233 Route 46 in Roxbury Township was sold by Darl Enterprises LLC to Flagstaff Extreme LLC, NAI Hanson said in a news release.

Flagstaff Extreme, an adventure course located in Arizona, is expanding operations into the Northeast, NAI Hanson said.

NAI Hanson’s John J. Schilp represented the seller in the deal.

“The prior approval for this land to be converted into a zip line recreation park provided us with a unique selling proposition,” Schilp said in a prepared statement. “We were able to leverage the location and strong demographics surrounding the area, in addition to the preapproval, to attract a buyer that could envision the future success of this type of attraction in this market.”

The parcels were listed separately with an option to buy both; the smaller parcel, 0.17 of an acre, fronts on Route 46, with the larger parcel, at nearly 48 acres, already approved for the recreation use.
