Atlantic Health System’s flagship hospital, Morristown Medical Center, is the top hospital in the state, according to the 2018 U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The hospital is followed by two other flagships — of the state’s two largest health systems — including Hackensack Meridian Health’s Hackensack University Medical Center in second and RWJBarnabas Health’s Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in third.
The remaining hospitals in the Top 10 include:
4. HMH’s Jersey Shore University Medical Center;
5. AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center;
T6. Valley Hospital;
T6. Virtua Health’s Voorhees Hospital;
T8. HMH’s Riverview Medical Center;
T8. Atlantic Health’s Overlook Medical Center;
Six hospitals tied for 10th place, including:
T10. Capital Health Regional Medical Center;
T10. HMH’s Raritan Bay Medical Center;
T10. Hunterdon Medical Center;
T10. Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center;
T10. RWJBarnabas’ Somerset Hospital; and
T10. RWJBarnabas’ St. Barnabas Medical Center.
