4 N.J. hospitals ranked NRC Health’s Top 100 for consumer loyalty

Four New Jersey hospitals have been ranked among the Top 100 hospitals nationwide in the 2019 NRC Health Top 100 Consumer Loyalty Awards List.

The awards recognize the top health care facilities across the country that are working to cultivate and maintain loyalty among their patient populations. They were chosen based off a survey of more than 300,000 consumers, NRC said.

“Today’s health care consumers are lucky to have a wide variety of choice when it comes to deciding where they receive care. But we are seeing a shift now more than ever as hospitals and health systems begin to fully understand the importance of offering a comprehensive, compassionate and accessible care model,”  Brian Wynne, vice president and general mangaer, NRC Health, said. “The organizations recognized by the Consumer Loyalty Awards are leading the way in the health care industry; however, the industry as a whole still has a long way to go. At NRC Health, we are eager to continue working with organizations to help achieve our vision of customer-centric healthcare for all, and we are honored to celebrate this year’s winning organizations and the work they’ve done to receive this award.”

The New Jersey-based hospitals on the list include:

“The voice of the consumer, our patients, must be at the center of everything we do. These consumer preference recognitions serve as an affirmation that we are headed in the right direction, but we believe there is much more to be done. As we continue to transform the healthcare experience we are laser-focused on our patients, listening to their feedback and reinventing the consumer experience,” Valerie Simon, chief marketing officer, Atlantic Health System, said. “Today’s patients have choices. They research and make decisions based on not only exceptional quality and patient outcomes, but the full experience. While Morristown Medical Center has been acknowledged as the number one hospital in New Jersey by both U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek, every day we strive to listen to our patients and raise the bar on the entire patient experience.”

Hospitals that made on the list scored well in seven different metrics of patient loyalty, including Access, Engagement, Experience, and Net Promoter Score.

“Morristown Medical Center and the other outstanding health care facilities included in the Consumer Loyalty Awards list are leading the way toward a new elevated standard for the patient and consumer experience,” Wynne said. “This award recognition is a reflection of the trust Morristown Medical Center has built with its patient communities and speaks to the exceptional work being done by Morristown Medical Center to provide compassionate care and inspire consumer loyalty.”
