Slalom opens new office in N.J.; will bring 350 jobs to state

Slalom, a Seattle-based $1.6 billion consulting firm, announced on Tuesday it has opened a new office in New Jersey.

The new office in Morristown will bring more than 350 jobs to the state over the next few years.

“Slalom’s expansion allows us to provide a deeper level of service to our New Jersey clients by hiring the state’s top talent,” Troy Johnson, co-founder and chief growth officer, Slalom, said. “Our model is to hire locally. In over 35 cities around the world, Slalom teams have the autonomy to move fast and do what’s right for our clients, making us more personal and nimbler than traditional consulting firms.”

The company was founded in 2001 and since has become a billion-dollar company in more than 35 markets across the globe.

“On behalf of the New Jersey business community, Choose New Jersey would like to welcome Slalom to our great state,” said Jose Lozano, President and CEO of Choose New Jersey. “This move demonstrates that New Jersey continues to be a premier place for leading businesses with all the assets – and accessibility – any forward-thinking company needs. We are home to one of the most highly educated workforces in the U.S. and a business located in central New Jersey can serve more than 22 million consumers.”

Along with the new office, the company currently employs 7,500 workers globally and will continue its rapid growth into 2020.

“Slalom New Jersey is the first Slalom office representing an entire state, not just a city—and we take great pride in that,” Jeff Van Wie, general manager for New Jersey, Slalom, said. “With an exclusive focus on our clients in the New Jersey market, we now have an opportunity to better help them implement their strategies through transformational programs as they grow and reinvent their businesses.”
