Cognizant, the Teaneck-based professional services business, has acquired a U.K.-based consultancy specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics, it announced this week.
The deal for Inawisdom, which delivers cloud-native, full-stack solutions, represents Cognizant’s ninth acquisition of the year in the data and IA fields — an investment of more than $1.1 billion.
Specific financial terms were not disclosed.
“Businesses succeed or fail by the speed and quality of their decisions, and the best business decisions are informed by data and AI,” Malcolm Frank, president, digital business, for Cognizant, said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased to welcome Inawisdom’s skilled team to Cognizant and further accelerate our innovation on data modernization and intelligent decision-making.”
Inawisdom, which was founded in 2016 and has clients in Europe and the Middle East, will join Contino, another company in Cognizant’s Digital Business group, to provide end-to-end, cloud-native AI and machine learning solutions.
