HomeServices of America expands reach in N.J. with latest acquisition

Acquisition expands HomeServices’ footprint in the New Jersey residential real estate market

HomeServices of America said it had acquired Martinsville-based Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New Jersey Properties, with 19 locations and more than 600 agents in northern and central New Jersey.

The Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Berkshire Hathaway affiliate also acquired Associated Title Agency. As part of this transaction, Associated Title Agency will merge with Trident Land Transfer Co. (NJ) LLC, the highly respected title company of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors, with locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The acquisition further expands HomeServices’ presence in New Jersey, which includes Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors and Long and Foster Real Estate, which HomeServices acquired in 2013 and 2017, respectively.

“We are very excited to have this professional team, led by Derek Bradley and Ed Gillespie, at Associated Title Agency join our family and are so proud to serve two Berkshire Hathaway brokerage companies in the HomeServices network of companies. We look forward to serving the more than 6000 agents associated with these two powerhouse firms,” Lisa DeWolf, president of Trident Land Transfer Co., stated.

“Joining forces with the Associated Title Agency will allow us to expand our services to our client base and work with a highly successful team,” adds Bill Fox Jr., senior vice president of Trident Land Transfer.

The full-service brokerage offers residential and commercial services, as well as title and settlement services, leasing and property management, corporate relocations, luxury and investment properties, and home warranty services.

With this transaction, HomeServices has nearly 46,500 real estate professionals operating in nearly 925 offices across 33 states.
