Connell Foley creating Corporate Immigration Practice, adding Dornbaum & Peregoy attorneys

Connell Foley LLP is creating a Corporate Immigration Practice starting Jan. 1, when the lawyers of business immigration firm Dornbaum & Peregoy LLC will join the Roseland-based law firm.

Neil Dornbaum and Kathleen Peregoy will be partners at Connell Foley, and serve as co-chairs of the new practice, part of the firm’s Labor and Employment Group. They will be joined by Abigail Walsh and Lucia Smalikova, associates, and the Millburn-based Dornbaum & Peregoy’s team of paraprofessionals and administrative staffers.

“We are extremely pleased to be welcoming the talented and knowledgeable attorneys from Dornbaum & Peregoy to Connell Foley,” Managing Partner Philip F. McGovern Jr. said in a prepared statement. “The synergies between our two firms mean we will be able to offer clients this crucial element to their business practice as they seek to employ highly qualified individuals in a wide range of industries.”

Dornbaum and Peregoy have both focused their practices on immigration and nationality matters for 30 years. Walsh has more than 20 years’ experience in immigration matters, as well, while Smalikova has 10 years’ experience.

“We could not be more pleased to be joining forces with Connell Foley,” Dornbaum said in a statement. “The firm has a longstanding reputation as one of the preeminent firms in the region. We look forward to extending to our existing clients the resources of a full-service firm like Connell Foley, and we are likewise excited to extend our specialty immigration services to Connell Foley’s clients.”
