Boyd, FanDuel team up to launch rebranded online Stardust Casino in N.J.

A new online casino is coming to New Jersey, as Boyd Gaming Corp. and FanDuel Group announced plans to launch two Stardust-branded casinos in April.

The launch of the online casinos in New Jersey and Pennsylvania marks the gaming brand’s return to real-money gaming, Boyd and FanDuel said in a news release. The casinos need final regulatory approval from their respective states before opening.

“For nearly 50 years, the Stardust was one of the most famous casinos on the Las Vegas Strip,” Boyd CEO and President Keith Smith said in a prepared statement. “And, while the resort has been gone for more than a decade, the Stardust brand is still as well-known and popular as ever.”

FanDuel plans to rebrand its existing Betfair Casino in New Jersey under the Stardust brand, while launching a new casino in Pennsylvania.

“The new Stardust Casino will retain all of the great games that customers love on Betfair Casino, while incorporating a new, stylish look that captures the glitz, glamour and nostalgia of old Las Vegas,” FanDuel President Amy Howe said in a statement. “Stardust Casino allows us to take a market-leading product to the next level.”

The casinos will use FanDuel’s proprietary front-end, apps and player account management system, and be linked to Boyd Gaming’s B Connected player loyalty program. Players must be in New Jersey or Pennsylvania to access the real-money Stardust Casino.
