Brach Eichler’s Keith J. Roberts joins Saint James Health Center board

Saint James Health announced the appointment of Keith J. Roberts, Esq., to its esteemed board of directors. A distinguished legal mind with a longstanding commitment to health care law, Roberts brings with him decades of experience navigating complex litigation, regulatory and compliance matters within the health care industry.

Roberts is certified as a civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey and chair of Brach Eichler’s Litigation practice. He focuses on health care law, complex commercial disputes and regulatory issues within the health care field. He is regularly called upon by hospitals, licensed health-care centers, medical providers, administrators and health-care executives to navigate commercial disputes, disciplinary proceedings, payor audits, medical staff guidance, employment and other contract disputes to include serving a lead counsel role in substantial litigation matters.

Roberts has represented hospital systems, surgical centers and health care professionals in high-profile legal matters throughout his career. His track record includes successful litigation outcomes and strategic advisory roles in complex litigation matters over the past three decades.

Roberts also has extensive experience in litigation issues related to medical provider reimbursements and served on the Personal Injury Protection Technical Advisory Committee (PIPTAC) upon appointment by the New Jersey governor to assist with the promulgation of regulations governing no-fault insurance.

A frequent speaker for various health-care associations, as well as the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), Roberts is a recognized expert in the field of health care law, particularly within the litigation arena.

“Over the last two years, Saint James Health has partnered with RWJBarnabas Health as part of ‘Our Healthy Newark’ initiative,” said Jim Gonzalez, chairman of the board at Saint James Health Center. “The goal is to increase access and improve health outcomes in vulnerable populations. With this in mind, we are happy to welcome Keith to the Saint James Health board. We are confident that his expertise in health care and regulatory matters will be a great asset to this organization.”

“I am honored to join the board at Saint James Health Center, a first-in-class facility, focused on the deliverance of the highest quality health care with a focus on the immediate needs of their underserved community,” said Roberts. “I look forward to helping with the execution of their important vision.”
