Armistead Mechanical’s Joe Jerkowski elected president of NESCA

Armistead Mechanical, Inc., a leading provider of mechanical construction, engineering and contracting services throughout the New Jersey/New York area, announced that Joseph Jerkowski, P.E., chief operations officer, has been elected president of the Northeastern Subcontractors Association (NESCA) for the 2025-2026 term. His term will begin on July 1, 2025.

With over 35 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry, Jerkowski brings deep technical knowledge and leadership to this prestigious role. A graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, he has built a distinguished career in design and construction management across the plumbing, HVAC and process piping sectors. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of New York and holds master plumber and HVAC licenses in both Rockland and Putnam Counties in New York.

Since joining Armistead Mechanical in 1994, Jerkowski has played a key role in managing complex projects from inception through completion across a wide range of sectors, including health care, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and water treatment. He is also a graduate of the MCAA Advanced Leadership Institute, reflecting his ongoing commitment to professional development and operational excellence.

Jerkowski has been an active member of NESCA since 2007 and has served on its board of directors since 2018. His long-standing commitment to advancing the mechanical construction industry and fostering collaboration among subcontractors makes him an ideal leader to guide NESCA into the future. He will succeed Bryan Berry of Color Code Painting, Inc., who served as president during the 2023–2025 term.

“Joe’s election as NESCA president is a testament to his extensive knowledge, integrity and dedication to our industry,” said Kevin Armistead, president and CEO of Armistead Mechanical. “His leadership will be an asset not only to the organization but to the entire subcontracting community.”
