Hudson Regional Health (HRH) announced March 9 leadership appointments at Hoboken University and Bayonne University hospitals.
The Secaucus-based health care group said Dr. Michael Hochberg was named chief hospital executive in Hoboken. He had been chief hospital executive in Bayonne.
Dr. Vijayant Singh is the news chief hospital executive in Bayonne. He was Hudson Regional Hospital’s chief clinical officer and vice president of network development and was an integral part of the senior leadership team.
“Dr. Hochberg and Dr. Singh are proven leaders who understand the needs of our communities and the excellence we demand in our facilities,” said HRH Chairman Yan Moshe. “Their years of experience and proven accomplishments will help advance our mission of providing excellent health care in Hudson County.”
Singh has been a career-long member of the Hudson County health-care community, beginning with his years in training at RWJ Barnabas Health-Jersey City Medical Center. He then joined CarePoint Health and rose through various leadership roles, driving operational excellence, improving patient outcomes and fostering strategic growth within the hospital system.
Hochberg joined HRH-Bayonne in early 2025 as chief hospital executive. HRH said that under his leadership, Bayonne University Hospital underwent a dramatic revival and improvement in patient experience scores, reduced wait times for the emergency department, an increase in the average daily census, and hundreds of new credentialed physicians and nurses.
Prior to his joining Hudson Regional Health, Hochberg served as chief operations and integration officer at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System in New Brunswick. While there, HRH said Hochberg helped the system grow its operating margin, building an emergency department and multiple outpatient facilities and expanding its primary care and service lines.
