E-commerce company in Burlington to hire at least 700 for holidays — and maybe longer

Radial, a leader in e-commerce solutions, announced Tuesday that it is looking to fill more than 700 positions for entry-level fulfillment workers in Burlington and South River to support the e-commerce demand this holiday season.

Associates will help to source orders and send them to their final destinations using Radial’s technology, fulfillment and transportation solutions.

Radial’s fulfillment centers are located at:

  • 200 Richards Run, Burlington;
  • 5 Brick Plant Road, Suite D, South River.

Jim Allison, Radial’s site director for Burlington, said the holidays are a great way to explore the industry.

“This is a great opportunity to reenter the job market or start a new career in e-commerce, a rapidly growing industry,” he said. “Hundreds of people in the Burlington and South River areas can find flexible work that meets their schedules while also gaining valuable training and experience to take them beyond peak season if interested.

Radial officials said associates at the New Jersey locations will have access to competitive hourly wages, overtime and holiday pay and flexible work schedules — although they did not offer the hourly wage.

Allison told ROI-NJ that associates who are hired for the holidays may have an opportunity to stay on with the company full-time in 2023.

“For individuals seeking long-term employment opportunities, there is opportunity for seasonal associates to transition into full-time positions in all markets,” he said. “Seasonal associates in good performance standings can discuss conversion opportunities with their supervisor at the end of peak.”

Allison said he feels that opportunity will be there.

“Our seasonal hiring needs are based on the anticipated order volume and our commitment to our clients and their customers regarding the speed in which we ship their orders,” he said. “Current economic conditions are still showing that there are people wanting to take on seasonal positions and may potentially be interested in retaining those jobs beyond the temporary window.”

Recent consumer research by Radial reveals that 58% of consumers said they will increase online holiday shopping compared to 2021. Findings show that this holiday season is expected to be another high-demand period for e-commerce, and, each year, Radial successfully scales its workforce as much as five times its typical headcount to meet these heightened demands. At the fulfillment centers in Burlington and South River, seasonal workers will have the chance to work with some of the world’s favorite brands in fashion, health & beauty, electronics and other consumer goods.

Sabrina Wnorowski, the chief human resources officer at Radial, said the company is eager to hire new workers.

“Each year, we scale significantly and are constantly impressed with the work of our associates,” she said. “It’s a busy time of year, but our teams are focused on creating an inclusive, collaborative and fun work environment.

“At Radial, associates are motivated to bring their full, best selves to work every day. With the addition of new technologies and onboarding tools, we are focused on creating the best learning experience and work environments for all associates across our expanding network.”
